Therapy for men
The number of men seeking therapy is increasing, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy for men to ask for help, let alone talk about their difficulties. Here at First Psychology we’re experienced in working with male clients and skilled at adapting our approach to make the process as easy as possible.
What common problems do men experience?
It is commonly thought men don’t suffer from issues, such as depression, anxiety, etc. In reality, these issues are just as common in men as in women, but men tend to deal with them in a very different way. Men may often turn to abuse in one form or another be it taking risks or self-harming, developing unhelpful habits, over working, or simply eating badly.
